Heather Loeschke was named the Minnesota History Teacher of the Year by the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History. Loeschke has been anonymously submitted for the prize and was nominated a couple of times. Loeschke has taught at Cannon Falls High School for 17 years, teaching civics, advanced placement United States history, and advanced placement government and politics.
