Girls Hockey: Haley and Anderson retire
In an email to players, parents, administration and media, Red Wing girls' hockey head coach Scott Haley, as well as assistant coach Dan Anderson, retired from coaching.
The email, signed jointly, is below.
"Dear Red Wing High School Hockey Players, Parents, and Red Wing High School Administration:
We are announcing our retirement as coaches of the Red Wing Girls High School Hockey program.
It has been an honor and a privilege to be part of such a successful program over the past 12 years.
We would like to thank all of our players—past and present—who have been an integral part of this program's success. All of you have been such an important part of our lives both on and off the ice.
We have had such tremendous support from the community over the years and that has benefited the players and program. It has made the program really special and we are so grateful.
We are confident the program is in good hands and we feel it will continue to be headed in the right direction. Though this is the end of our chapter as high school coaches, we will see you at the rink in support of girls hockey.
Dan Anderson & Scott Haley"
