Cannon Falls tips Goodhue
Cannon Falls fought off Goodhue in a tightly contested matchup earning the win, 51-42, on Friday.
Isaac Banks led the Bombers with 13 points, followed by Drew Otte with 11. Sam Opsahl led the Wildcats with 16 points while Mitchell Hemenway had 11.
The Bombers (9-11) will welcome Zumbrota-Mazeppa on Tuesday and Dover-Eyota on Thursday. The Wildcats (10-12) will head to Triton on Tuesday and Hayfield on Friday.
Lake City 57, Lourdes 48
A late run lifted Lake City to a 57-48 Hiawatha Valley League victory over Rochester Lourdes on Friday.
Reid Gastner put up 24 points for the Tigers, with Nathan Heise (16) and Marc Kjos (11) adding double-digit contributions. Lake City (18-3) outscored the Eagles 16-5 over the final four minutes.
The Tigers host Stewartville on Tuesday.
K-M 50, Pine Island 47
Jacob Weber and Dane Loucks did what they could offensively, but Kasson-Mantorville had the edge Friday in a 50-47 victory over the Panthers.
Weber hit three 3-pointers on his way to 19 points, while Loucks hit four 3s for 16 points. Josh Navratil added 10 points and nine rebounds in the loss.
Pine Island (6-13) have two home games early next week, with Lewiston-Altura coming on Monday, and Rochester Lourdes arriving on Tuesday.
Pine Island 61, Chatfield 47
Pine Island started fast, taking a 36-21 first-half lead, to claim the victory over Chatfield, 61-47.
Leading the way for the Panthers were Jacob Weber with 29 points, Josh Navratil with 12 and Dane Loucks with 9. Navratil finished with a double-double, leading the Panthers with 11 rebounds.
Spring Grove 59, Randolph 25
Randolph was unable to get much going offensively against Spring Grove, falling being quickly in the first half before eventually succumbing to the Lions, 59-25.
Randolph didn't have any get in the double digits for scoring, with Andrew Wenstrom leading the way with 7 points. Spring Grove was led by Sam Sanness with 18 points and 10 rebounds.
