Girls Basketball: Wingers fall to Huskies

Owatonna rode a big second-half surge against Red Wing to steal a 68-48 victory on Friday.

Red Wing played well in the first half, holding on to a 27-23 lead going into halftime. In the second half, the Huskies played with an extra gear, dropping 41 points on the Wingers.

Leading the Wingers were Tayzha Buck with 15 points, Lindsay Reps with 12 and Kyli Nelson with eight. Hannah Rodgers led the team with eight rebounds.

Owatonna was led by Sydney Schultz's 17 points and Ahnna Stelter's 14 points.

Red Wing (18-5, 14-5 Big Nine) will turn right around and travel to Winona for a 3:30 p.m. tip off on Saturday.
