Mary-Etta Lillie (Keetley) Bystrom, 80, of Red Wing, MN, passed away unexpectedly on January 1, 2019, at Red Wing Mayo Clinic Health System following an illness. She was born November 14, 1938, to James and Margaret Keetley in Hastings, MN, where she also attended school.

On February 4, 1956, Mary married Lytle Bystrom at the Little Brown Church in the Vale in Iowa. Lytle and Mary first lived in Prescott, WI, where they raised their three children - Dean, Sandy and Robin. Later they moved to Hager City, WI, where they started Bystrom Woodworking, specializing in quality trophies and antique furniture restoration, which they owned and operated for 25 years. Mary enjoyed entertaining and socializing with her family and friends. Her hobbies included sewing, swimming at the YMCA, bowling, baking and playing games. She was known for her amazing baking, including donuts and "Aunt Mary's buns." She was also a lifelong blood donor with a total of 8 gallons donated throughout her life. She is survived by her two daughters, Sandy (Kim) Hall of Ellsworth and Robin (Mike) Rongitsch of Red Wing; grandchildren Angela (Joe) Melson, Jim (Michelle) Wilcox, Carrie Wilcox (fiance Brandon Foxworth), Jason Bystrom, Sarah (John) Cook, Chris Bystrom; 15 great-grandchildren; godchild Cheryl Anderson; many nieces and nephews; sister, Joan Keetley, and brother, Gordon Keetley, both of Hastings; special friend Eileen Ide. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lytle, her son Dean Bystrom and brother Richard Keetley. Burial will be in the spring in Trenton Cemetery.
