Boys' Basketball: Red Wing falls in high-scoring affair
The Red Wing boys' basketball team fell 100-98 to Rochester Mayo on Tuesday.
Clearly, offense wasn't an issue for either team. The Wingers led at the half 45-43. Each team scored over 50 points in the second half with Mayo getting the edge over the Wingers 57-53.
Zach Cota led the Wingers with a season- and career-high 40 points. Dontray Johnson had 20 points, while Marcus Walm added 10 points.
Red Wing dropped to 3-22 overall and 2-19 in the Big Nine. The Wingers next travel to take on Mankato West on Friday.
