Boys' Basketball: Red Wing picks up first win of season
The Red Wing boys picked up their first win of the season on Friday with a 74-42 road victory over Kasson-Mantorville.
Red Wing played a dominant first half, outscoring K-M 44-20.
Zach Cota scored a team-high 21 points and had four assists for the Wingers. Carson Nystuen had 18 points and hit 5 of 7 from behind the arc. Marcus Walm added 13 points.
Red Wing is 1-8 overall and 1-6 in Big Nine play. The Wingers host fourth-ranked Austin on Tuesday and head to Albert Lea on Friday.
The Red Wing boys' basketball team fell 80-43 to Rochester Century on Thursday.
The Wingers were outshot 59-to-32 percent overall, and 58-to-15 percent from behind the arc.
Carson Nystuen led the Wingers with 19 points. Dane Wojcik added nine points.
