Rodney D. Adolph

Rodney Dale Adolph, 88, of Red Wing, died Friday, September 7, 2018 at his home. He was born on April 3, 1930, in Red Wing to Harold and Alice (Heins) Adolph. He graduated from Red Wing High School in 1948 and then entered the US Navy. He served from 1948-1952 when was honorably discharged. On June 6, 1953, he married Patricia Steiner. He graduated from University of Wisconsin, River Falls and managed Collins Lanes for 16 years in River Falls. They moved to Red Wing in 1968 where he worked as a manager at the Red Wing Country Club and later worked for other businesses in managerial positions. He was a member of the Church of St. Joseph, the Leo C. Peterson American Legion Post #54, Burnson-Lillyblad VFW Post #1218, Red Wing Country Club, Red Wing YMCA and the rifle club. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, boating, playing bridge and bowling where he bowled professionally for Schmidt's.

Rodney is survived by his wife, Pat; five children, Kevin Adolph of Bay City, Michael (Cindy) Adolph of Red Wing, Mary (Bruce Herling) Anderson of Red Wing, Tom (Kelli) Adolph of Maple Grove and Charlie Adolph of Goodhue; nine grandchildren, Kristophor, Emily, Michelle, Scott Ross, Jesse, Alex, Austin, Erik and Mason; 12 great grandchildren, McKayla, Donovan, Treston, Kieran, Isaiah, Dominic, McKenna, Avery, Liam, Ireland, Jayden and Arya along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Terrance and one brother, Bob.

Mass of Resurrection will be 11 a.m. Thursday, September 13, 2018, at the Church of St. Joseph with Father Thomas M. Kommers presiding. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service. Memorials are preferred to Heartland Hospice, American Cancer Society or donor's choice. Funeral arrangements are by the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel.
