Red Wing drops two to Henry Sibley, Fergus Falls

Henry Sibley put Red Wing in a big hole, and the Wingers were unable to climb out of it, taking a 5-2 loss to the Warriors on Monday.

Henry Sibley got goals from Zack Dornbusch, Tommy Harrity and Nate Pace to take a 3-0 lead into the first intermission.

Michael Stoffel got the Wingers on the board early in the second with a power play goal on assists from Logan Sammon and Cam Blue.

Joseph Juliette made it 4-1 in favor of the Warriors a few minutes later, but Red Wing responded with Hunter McMahon's goal on an assist from Blue.

Juliette, who finished with three points, scored again in the third to close the scoring.

Neither team had many chances, with the Wingers putting 15 shots on Tommy Buell. Zach Harding saved 14 of 15 shots in the loss.


Fergus Falls 4, Red Wing 0

Fergus Falls scored twice in the first period and twice more in the third to hand Red Wing a 4-0 loss on Saturday.

Declan Young and Aaron Shelstad scored in the first for the Otters, while Nate Zierden and Logan Wentworth scored in the third.

The Wingers took seven penalties for 14 minutes in the game, and were outshot 40-12. Cole Mahler earned the shutout for Fergus Falls, while Zach Harding made 36 saves in the loss.
