Area Volleyball Wrap: Cannon Falls blanks Goodhue

Mariah Tipcke was honored for her 1,000th career assist on Tuesday, but Cannon Falls spoiled a bit of the fun as the Bombers swept Goodhue, 3-0 (25-10, 25-13, 25-16).

Tipcke finished with 16 assists on the night, feeding Hannah Gadient (five kills) and Sydney Lodermeier (four kills). Tipcke also led the Wildcats with eight digs.

For the Bombers, Tatum Pickar had 22 digs and four aces, and Molly Bowen had a team-high nine kills.

Z-M 3, Lake City 0

Zumbrota-Mazeppa swept Lake City on Tuesday, 3-0 (25-19, 25-14, 25-23).

Aspen Brubaker had nine kills, four aces and 16 digs for the Cougars, and Lyndsey Quam added six kills and four blocks.

Delaney Issendorf had nine kills to lead the Tigers, and Morgan West had 21 digs.

K-W 3, Triton 0

Triton pulled off a win in the first set, but Kenyon-Wanamingo found its bearings and took the final three games for a 3-1 (21-25, 25-19, 25-14, 25-19) win over the Cobras on Tuesday.

Ally Peterson had 24 kills and three blocks for the Knights, while Julianna Boyum finished with 10 kills and four blocks. Maddie McCauley had 23 assists, and Sydney Way had 17 digs and a pair of aces.

K-M 3, Pine Island 0

Avri Kundert and Regan Bushman each had five kills in Pine Island's 3-0 (25-18, 25-14, 25-13) loss to Kasson-Mantorville on Tuesday.

Sydney Andrist had 10 assists for the Panthers, with Jordan Brehmer pacing the defense with 15 digs.
