Cannon Falls beats Red Wing in four

After dropping the first set to Red Wing, Cannon Falls rebounded by taking the final three for a 3-1 (21-25, 25-12, 25-20, 25-23) victory on Tuesday.

Shayla Hustad had a team-high 14 kills for the Bombers, while Kara Loeschke (27) and Rachel Huseth (19) assisted on a combined 46 points. Tatum Pickar had 17 digs in the win.

"I was very impressed with the work ethic of the Wingers tonight. They did a good job of reducing errors and putting the ball back on our side of the court," said Cannon Falls head coach Melissa Huseth. "At times, the Bombers played aggressive, but not consistently from start to finish. I would like our team to be more disciplined and improve the mental part of the game. The right mind set is over half the battle."

The Wingers were led by Madisyn Lyons' 12 kills, 20 digs and three blocks, Macy Koester's 24 assists and Vanessa Frazier's 18 digs. Dani Deming had 15 assists in the loss.
