Two injured, Fed Ex truck left on its side in collision

The Minnesota State Patrol responded to a broadside collision at the intersection of Highway 61 and Highway 19 Tuesday evening. According to the State Patrol report, a straight truck driven by Craig Shub of Rochester was westbound crossing onto Highway 19 from Moundview Drive over Highway 61 when it collided with a GMC Envoy traveling southbound on Highway 61.

The driver of the GMC Envoy, Mackenzie Brown of Hastings, and the passenger, Raymond Norton of Red Wing, sustained non-life threatening injuries, according to State Patrol and Shub was assessed to have no apparent injuries. Brown and Norton were transported by Red Wing Ambulance to Mayo Clinic Health System-Red Wing.

The Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office and the Red Wing Police Department assisted State Patrol on the scene. Crews worked through severe storms Tuesday evening to clear the scene.
