MnDOT to hold Highway 52 open house
The Minnesota Department of Transportation will hold an informational meeting on the Highway 52 southbound improvement project from Cannon Falls to Zumbrota 5-7 p.m. Thursday, June 27, in the Cannon Falls City Hall, 918 River Road.
Attendees can talk with project team members and learn about recent project developments. No formal presentation is planned.
Students to stage 'Robin Hood' on Friday
The hearty laughter of Robin Hood and his Merry Band will sweep through the trees of Sherwood Forest (temporarily transplanted to Twin Bluff Middle School this week) as 34 local children take the stage along with two professional actors in Prairie Fire Children's Theatre's original musical production of "Robin Hood."
Performances are slated for 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. Friday, June 21, in the school auditorium.
Admission is a free-will donation.
This Prairie Fire Theatre residency is being sponsored by Red Wing Community Education.
Minnesota State campuses to waive admission fees next week
On the fence about becoming a college student? Minnesota State College Southeast is offering a week of college tours as part of "Explore Minnesota State" from June 24-28.
Admissions staff at MSC Southeast in Red Wing and Winona will guide tours at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., with the $20 application fee being waived when someone applies for college. No appointment is necessary.
"As a member of the Minnesota State system, [Minnesota State College] Southeast provides an exceptional education at exceptional value," Minnesota State College Southeast Interim president Larry Lundblad said in a news release.
