Groundwater contamination forum set in Red Wing for March 25

The Minnesota Environmental Quality Board will hold a public meeting 5-8 p.m. Monday, March 25, at the St. James Hotel to gain public input on a proposal to study nitrate-contaminated water in the karst region of southeastern Minnesota. Doors open at 5 p.m., presentations start at 5:30 p.m., and table discussion will run 7-8 p.m.

The EQB comprises nine state agency heads and eight citizen members from across the state. The board will use input from the March 25 meeting to help decide whether to order an environmental impact statement.
