Droogsma being released from medical care
Tim Droogsma will be in his own home today, 12 days after being injured in a campaign parade accident.
The campaign manager for secretary of state candidate John Howe spent a couple days in a hospital and then went to Red Wing care facility to work on rehabilitating his legs and hips. Droogsma will be released this afternoon, according to Howe.
The men, both of Red Wing, suffered injuries as a parade concluded in Carver on Sept. 9. They fell off the back of a trailer when the person driving the tractor-trailer lost control. Howe hit his head and required staples. Droogsma was caught underneath the runaway trailer until it hit a curb.
