Winning ticket purchased in Hager City
Adam Stewart of Hager City won the first top prize of $100,000 playing the Epic Multiplier scratch game. Stewart purchased the ticket at Express, N1817 785th St., Hager City.
Retailers who sell winning tickets over $599 receive an incentive of 2 percent of the winning ticket amount up to $100,000.There are a total of three $100,000 top prizes in the Cash Attack scratch game.
In addition to the three top prizes, players can win between $20 and $10,000. Each ticket costs $20. The odds of winning the top prize in Epic Multiplier are 1:276,000
Plane crashes in Bay City
Deputies responded at 8:43 p.m. July 2 to a plane crash at Red Wing Regional Airport, W7245 Highway 35, Bay City. No injuries were reported. Officials with the Civil Air Patrol said it involved an ultralight craft. The Federal Aviation Administration was contacted.
Bay City house fire reported
A structure fire was reported at 6:54 a.m. July 3 at N3754 County Road DD in Bay City. Deputies assisted Ellsworth firefighters. The fire was suspected to have been started by a plug-in air freshener.
Personnel meeting canceled
The city of Red Wing Personnel Committee meeting scheduled for Thursday, July 12, has been canceled. A new day and time to meet has not yet been determined.
