Goggin to attend Olympic-sized ski jump presentation Tuesday
Sen. Mike Goggin,R-Red Wing, and members of the Senate Capital Investment Committee will tour several projects in southeastern Minnesota on Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 12-13.
One destination for Goggin will be a ski jump presentation at 4:10 p.m. Tuesday at Baldy125, a proposed Olympic ski jump at Mount Frontenac.
On Sept. 5, 2017, Rep. Barb Haley hosted the House Capital Investment Committee on a tour of Mount Frontenac by looking at the proposed Baldy125 ski jump location.
The ski jump would serve as a training facility for the U.S. Nordic ski team and host international ski competitions. The area would also be developed for other recreational activities, including zip lines, inner-tube runs and cross-country skiing.
As part of the tour, the committee also will hear presentations about the Wabasha Rivertown Resurgence, the Mississippi Blufflands State Trail in Red Wing, the Goodhue County Historical Society Museum, the Old West Main Street Upper Harbor, and more.
