Red Wing High School found great success during the Solo & Ensemble Contest in St. Charles on April 9.

Sixty local students participated in the event, with many receiving high marks.

Twenty-one of the 26 vocalists received a "superior rating," the highest a performer can receive, with the rest of the performances receiving an "excellent rating," the second highest rating.

Fourteen of the 19 instrumental performances were awarded a "superior rating. The rest received an "excellent rating."
