Jefferson School RFP passes

The request for purchase agreement drafted by the Red Wing School District was unanimously approved by the School Board on Feb. 4.

For those interested in submitting a proposal, contact the district Superintendent Karsten Anderson. Proposals are due to the district office by 3 p.m. March 5.

Red Wing 2019-2020 courses

The board unanimously approved a proposal for new high school courses for the 2019-2020 school year. The high school will offer the following additional courses:

• Pre-Advanced Placement Language Arts 8

• Spanish for Heritage Learners

• Baking and Pastry Arts

• Construction Technology

Outlots sold

The School Board approved a sale, 6-1, that would sell 18 outlots in the Highlands of Red Wing development for $117,000. School Board Chair Arlen Diercks voted against the motion.

The lots for sale are located on Ball Field Drive. The district has 22 lots for sale since 2016.
