Goodhue interviews superintendent candidates

With Goodhue Public School District Superintendent Mike Redmond set to leave for the same position in the Shakopee School District soon, the Goodhue School Board held interviews to find his replacement.

Redmond has been splitting his time between Goodhue and Shakopee, and will continue to do so before transitioning to Shakopee in January.

In an email to the Republican Eagle, School Board Chair Ann Buck said they interviewed three candidates:

• Joseph Jezierski, director of teaching & learning, Red Wing School District;

• Jeffrey Sampson, superintendent, Southland and LeRoy-Ostrander Schools;

• Dr. Evan Gough, superintendent, Blue Earth School District

The board met on Nov. 16 for contract negotiations and will meet again prior to their Nov. 19 meeting.
