Second suspect arrested in Cannon Falls home invasion
Almost two months after one suspect was arrested in a home invasion robbery in Cannon Falls Township, authorities have arrested another suspect.
Terrell Reese Schaeffer, 29, St. Paul, was arrested by Hennepin County and transferred to Goodhue County on Dec. 27.
Schaeffer is charged with two counts of kidnapping, two counts first-degree aggravated robbery, two counts of burglary, two counts of simple robbery.
Schaeffer, along with Aldray Devon Young, 33, of Minneapolis, allegedly broke into a Cannon Falls Township home on May 21, holding the owners at gunpoint.
The owners reported the men took approximately $2,500 worth of cash and gift cards, multiple firearms, a laptop and phones. A hole was made in the front door screen, damage was done to a wall and door frame and a pipe was put through a couch, totaling $465 in damages. A basket and two wallets were also stolen, totaling $95.
The homeowners were taken to a downstairs bedroom and bound. They were told to wait 15 minutes by the men, who went upstairs and pushed a dresser and sofa in front of the door to block the homeowners from leaving, the complaint states.
Young was arrested days after he was at the Hennepin County District Court on Oct. 30, appearing for an unrelated matter. According to the Goodhue County jail roster, Young is being held on $150,000 bail.
Schaeffer's bail amount had not been set at print time.
