The King's Countrymen to play
The Kings' Countrymen, playing and singing bluegrass gospel music, will return to lead worship at 10 a.m. Sunday, April 8, at the Eidsvold Lutheran Church.
The founders, Lorn & Kristi Schultz, are based out of Mondovi, Wis. Formed in August of 1994, the bluegrass gospel band performs at county fairs, festivals, nursing homes, retirement centers and churches in the Midwest and beyond.
Eidsvold Lutheran Church is located in a community known as Esdaile, which is
2 ½ miles northeast of Bay City on County Rd EE.

Brunch planned at St. James Hotel
The River Valley Christian Women's Connection will hold its "Friendship" brunch at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 9, in the St. James Hotel Laurentine Room.
Sandie Ordahl will present "Defining Friendships." Special feature will be identify fraud protection.
Joanne and Duane Earney will provide music.

Pierce County Ecumenical Choir announces annual tour
The Pierce County Ecumenical Choir's 2018 spring tour theme is "His Spirit in Us." This a collection of inspirational Lenten music.
The tour will begin Sunday, April 15, with concerts at 3 p.m. at Crossroad Community Church, Ellsworth, and 7 p.m. at Sabylund Lutheran Church, Stockholm. Additional concerts will be Sunday, April 22, at 3 p.m. Seventh-day Adventist Church, Red Wing, and 7 p.m. at Sacred Heart Of Jesus Catholic Church, Spring Valley, Wis..; and 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, at Rush River Lutheran, River Falls; and finally Sunday, April 29, at Svea Lutheran Church, Hager City, and 7 p.m. at St. John's Catholic Church, Plum City.
The choir has been performing during the Easter season since 1971. Offerings will be collected and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to local food shelves.
Learn about the YouTube appeal
Do you wonder what kids watch on YouTube? Why do they like it so much? At 6:30 p.m. April 4, local youth will introduce videos on the big screens in the First United Methodist Church sanctuary, explaining what appeals to them in the video and what kind of YouTube "genre" it represents.
The students will take questions from the audience. All ages are welcome. The evening will include a hot dog supper.
Interfaith group helps others
Faith in Action in Red Wing is an interfaith volunteer program serving seniors and those in distressed circumstances. The organization's goal is to help individuals in the community remain independent.
All services are provided by caring volunteers, with no charge to the recipient. Services include local transportation, friendly visiting, library books, respite care and caregiver support group. The only out-of-town transportation offered is for radiation treatments.

Faith in Action seeks drivers
Faith in Action is looking for volunteers to drive individuals to various appointments. If you are interested in exploring this opportunity, call 651-327-2400. The office is located at 1407 W. Fourth St.
Library books can be delivered
In cooperation with the Red Wing Public Library, Faith in Action volunteers are matched with individuals unable to get to the library. The volunteers will pick-out books, deliver to an individual and then return them through the Book House Call program. Timing is arranged with the receivers and the volunteers. Take the Road to Recovery
Faith in Action offers the Road to Recovery program. This is the only out-of-town transportation service provided by Faith in Action in Red Wing and is for individuals receiving radiation treatments for cancer.
The office coordinates with family, church, and public health in assuring the patient has adequate transportation from Red Wing to treatment at Minneapolis or Rochester. For information, call 651-327-2400.
