Hundreds of quilts will be displayed for some warm, winter enjoyment Feb. 3-4 inside Sargent's Nursery.

Among them will be the "Legacy Quilt," the pivotal prop that the Evening Star Quilt Guild pieced for the "Quilters" musical sponsored last September by the Red Wing American Association for University Women chapter.

"Quilters" is a story of a frontier woman with six daughters in the mid-1800s. A series of stories set at this time in American history illustrates the hardship, perseverance, love, heartache and spirit that many women faced — and many of these women quilted.

Other quilts will include pieced and appliqued works by individual members in addition to quilts completed as a guild.

Hours for the annual Evening Star Quilt Guild are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days. Admission is $4.
