Letter: Howe knows tourism is valuable
To the Editor:
Mayor John Howe is always there when asked for tourism in Red Wing.
On more than one occasion Howe has done great things for tourists whether it is welcoming Girls Scouts at the train depot, to welcoming international visitors for a conference, and to being on a panel for the Southern Minnesota Tourism Association.
I do also know that he picks up boaters -- coming down Levee Road to go the hotel, throws their luggage in the back, gives them a short tour and drops them off.
He gets how important tourism is to our city, I appreciate the help.
