First baby of 2019 welcomed on Jan. 4

Mayo Clinic Health System in Red Wing announced that the first baby born at their location in 2019 was on Jan. 4.

The baby, Clara Louise Nardinger, was born eight weeks ahead of her due date and weighed four pounds, 4.4 ounces and 16.5 inches long.

Holly and Ryan Nardinger of Lake City are the parents of Clara, who says she "is healthy and doing well," according to a news release.
