Baby boy Koy rings in the new year
Newborn Samnang Koy is already living up to his name, which means "lucky" in Cambodian, as he has the honor of being the first baby of the year born at Mayo Clinic Health System in Red Wing.
He was welcomed into the world by parents Pip and Kaylee Koy of Red Wing at 8:46 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018. Samnang weighed 7 pounds and was 18 inches long. He has five sisters: Mercedes (20), Monica (18), Mellanie (14), Melita (11) and Suokia (5). .
