The Red Wing School Board held its regular meeting on March 4, 2019 in the Red Wing City Hall Chambers. Board members, excluding Farrar and Roe, Superintendent Karsten Anderson, staff and public were present. Chair Diercks called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.
Motion made by Christensen and seconded by Tauer to approve the meeting agenda as amended with the addition of a presentation by City of Red Wing between Public Comment and School Board Reports. Motion carried 5-0.
2.1 Recognitions and Upcoming Events
Several recognitions were shared with the school board.
2.2 Public Comment:
Public comment was shared about a non-school presentation at Red Wing High School and several comments were shared about Jefferson School.
2.3 Presentation about Jefferson School by Brian Peterson of the City of Red Wing.
2.4 School Board Reports:
School Board reports were reviewed.
2.5 Administrator Reports:
Administrator reports were reviewed.

4.One Year Unpaid Leave of Absence: Daisy Shoemaker, 3rd Grade Teacher at Burnside Elementary School, effective 2019-20 school year.
5.Resignation: Constance (Tori) Campbell, Native American School-Home
Liaison District-Wide, effective March 8, 2019.

Red Wing Ignite $1,000 - Transportation for Learn & Earn Program
Motion made by Christensen and seconded by Tauer to approve the consent agenda as presented. Motion carried 5-0.
3.2 School Calendar:
Superintendent Anderson reviewed the options for increasing instructional time due to the school closures.
3.3 Cook's Association Contract:
Motion made by Bryant and seconded by Jones to approve the 2017-19 Cooks' Association Contract as presented. Motion carried 5-0.
3.4 Jefferson School Request for Proposals Process:
A discussion was held about the process for handling proposals related to the sale of Jefferson School.
Upcoming Meetings:
Chair Diercks reviewed the upcoming meetings.
Motion made by Bryant, second by Christensen to adjourn the meeting at 7:01 p.m. Motion carried 5-0.
