The Red Wing Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA) will accept bids for the furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and services necessary for removal of the existing boilers, pumps, cooling towers, air handlers, condensers, etc. and the associated piping located in the building's mechanical rooms as well as residual work to complete the installation. The projects shall include all associated work required to install same as shown in bid documents. Bids will be received until 2:00 p.m. (local time) January 31, 2019, at the Red Wing Housing and Redevelopment Authority Offices at, 428 West 5th Street, Red Wing, MN 55066. At which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
A mandatory pre-bid walkthrough is scheduled for January 15, 2019 at 2:00 PM (local time). Prime Contractors interested in bidding are required to attend. Meet at Jordan Tower I Apartments, 433 West 4th Street, Red Wing, MN.

A set of plans may be obtained from ARC Document Solutions with a deposit of $75. Deposits are refunded to Prime Contractors if documents have been returned in good condition. Additionally, plans may be purchased from ARC Document Solutions (952-697-8800)
It is the Housing and Redevelopment Authority's intention to award a single prime contract to the lowest bid for the project based on available funding. The project construction start is anticipated to be in the summer of 2019.
It is the Bidder's responsibility to inquire as to the addenda issued.
A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the Red Wing Housing & Redevelopment Authority, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid, must be submitted with each bid.
No less than minimum salaries and wages set forth in the contract documents must be paid on this project (Davis-Bacon). Contractors must take affirmative action to ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, marital status, age, sexual orientation, disability, familial status or status with regard to public assistance. HUD, Section 3 Compliance & Documentation are required on this project as stipulated in the Bid Documents and HUD Standards.
Successful bidders must furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bonds, in the penal sum of the full amount of the contract awarded.
The Housing and Redevelopment Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities in the bidding and to award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder.
