PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that the City of Red Wing Advisory Planning Commission will hold a public hearing in the City Council Chambers at City Hall on Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at 7:00 p.m., to hear and make a recommendation on a Conditional Use Permit request by MN CSG 1, LLC, 4630 Quebec Avenue North, Minneapolis, MN, to construct and operate a 4.4 megawatt Community Solar Garden on approximately 34 acres of bluff top farmland west of State Highway 19 and south of Leeson Lane on property owned by Lady Slipper Farm, LLC, 14 Wildflower Place, North Oaks, Minnesota. The project also requires a Conditional Use Permit for a Storm Water Management Plan. A public hearing was previously held by the Planning Commission on June 19, but the City Council returned this application back to the Commission for another hearing.

Part of the E ½ of the NE ¼, and Part of the S ½ of the SW ¼ of the NE ¼, and Part of the N ½ of the SE ¼ of Section 31, T113N, Range 15W, Goodhue County, Minnesota. Written or oral comments to said CUP may be presented at this public hearing or filed with the City Clerk prior to this hearing. Each response will be duly considered and evaluated before any formal action is taken by the Planning Commission.
The applicant and the public will have the opportunity to present comments on the Advisory Planning Commission's recommendations at a City Council meeting. The purpose of allowing comments is to provide the applicant and the public with the opportunity to directly address the Council on the matter. The comment period cannot be used for the presentation of new information as all relevant information needs to be provided to the Advisory Planning Commission at the public hearing. If new information is presented to the City Council that was not considered at the public hearing of the Advisory Planning Commission, the Council may vote to send the matter back to the Advisory Planning Commission. All comments will be kept to the customary 3-minute limit. The City Council meeting is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on July 23, 2018.
