Residents of Jordan Towers were treated to an appreciation dinner hosted by Frerichs Construction, Finn Daniels Architects and Red Wing HRA. Approximately 145 guests were in attendance to celebrate the year-long renovation project of Jordan Tower II.
The $5.9 million project began in August 2017. The renovation included installing awning style windows, seal coating exterior concrete surfaces, structure work, and replacing the roof. Interior projects included, unit work, adding an ADA compliant unit and tubroom, adding a new media center, repaired damaged sewer line in the Sailstad dining hall, replaced entrance with sliding glass doors, and replaced boilers and heat pumps.
The dinner included several speakers including: Ronnelle Jaeger, Randal Hemmerlin, Board Chair Colleen Clark, Mayor Sean Dowse, Barry Vulcan, and Dan Dege.
Elizabeth Eliason of Flour Child Creations in Wanamingo created a seven layer cake to replicate Jordan Tower II.
If you would like a tour of both Jordan Tower I & II, the HRA is planning their annual open house 1-4 p.m, Wednesday, Oct.10.
The community is welcome to come and join a tour, enjoy a live radio show, and support the resident council in their pie & ice cream fundraiser.
