Eugenie Anderson History Break moved to Wednesday, Aug. 29

The Goodhue County Historical Society History Break about Eugenie Anderson has been rescheduled for noon Aug. 29, featuring Chris Stout, professor at Minnesota State College Southeast.

Red Wing has had its share of famous and historically significant people in history. However, few can compare with the accomplishments of Eugenie Anderson, he says. As the first female ambassador from the United States, ambassador to Bulgaria, and first woman to work for the United States on an UN Council, Eugenie Anderson helped expand the role of women in state and national government. She pushed the boundaries of women's rights and role in society and in government. Come learn more.

The event is free. Attendees are encouraged to bring a lunch with them while they soak up stories. The Goodhue County Historical Society is located at 1166 Oak St., Red Wing.
