On Feb. 7, nurses at Mayo Clinic Health System in Red Wing voted to approve a new three-year labor contract covering 119 nurses represented by the Minnesota Nurses Association. The union and Mayo Clinic Health System leaders collaboratively reached an agreement that is consistent with almost every other labor contract at Mayo.

"We wish to thank our nurses for their continued focus on and support for our patients and our people. We have a tremendous, highly committed staff that continues to work side-by-side, across all disciplines, to lend their voice and efforts to help make us one of the most highly regarded health care facilities in the country," said Diane Twedell, chief nursing officer, in a news statement. "We greatly appreciate all of our employees' contributions to keep Mayo Clinic Health System special."
