Holiday Inn opens on Old West Main
The Holiday Inn Express & Suites became fully operational on Dec. 8, according to Charles Gould.
Gould, who helps oversee the opening operations, said the plans have been two years in the making with special care taken to give the hotel that "Red Wing look."
Red brick and landscaping with plants that have red hues, Gould said they will also be working with Red Wing Collectors Society to help decorate the building in everything related to the area.
The hotel has 71 rooms, with amenities including complimentary breakfast, a meeting room and a workout facility.
The new hotel brings Red Wing's total up to 10, with four bed-and-breakfast available as well, according to Arloa Bach, executive director of the Visitors & Convention Bureau in town.
Bach said there are now more than 500 rooms in town—plenty of space for people looking to come into town for any number of events.
Bach said the VCB is excited to have the extra space in Red Wing.
