Red Wing Depot receiving roof repair due to hail damage

Like all things worth keeping, the beloved Red Wing Depot is undergoing minor renovations this month. The historic building is home to the Red Wing Arts Association, is the Red Wing stop on the AMTRAK route that runs between Chicago and Seattle, and contains the Visitor & Convention Bureau.

Currently, the Depot can be seen flanked by ladders and construction workers. Because of hail damage last past year, these men are replacing the red tin that accents the grand brick building This replacement has been going on for about three weeks and a construction worker predicts another week of this portion of work.

The whole roof will later be re-shingled.
