Apply for EQIP now with Goodhue County's Natural Resources Conservation Service office

The Environmental Quality Incentives Program application deadline is Friday, Jan. 18, to be considered for Fiscal Year 2019 funding. A producer or landlower must submit a signed application to their Natural Resources Conservation Service office.

The EQIP program provides financial and technical assistance to help landowners voluntarily implement conservation practices to improve natural resources. Payment is provided for a variety of practices to address resource concerns related to • water quality, • grazing land health, • soil erosion and health, • wildlife habitat and others.

Eligible applications will be ranked and contracts awarded. Applications with higher quality and quantity of proposed conservation and environmental benefits get higher scores.
