With Mara Quam leading the way with five 3-pointers, Kenyon-Wanamingo hit 11 triples in its 77-57 Hiawatha Valley League victory over Zumbrota-Mazeppa Tuesday in Kenyon. Quam had a game-high 25 points while Riley Dummer added 13 points, with three 3-pointers, and Savannah Bleess had 15 points, including two makes from beyond the arc. Tess Hokanson had 12 points and seven rebounds, and Morgan Burow nearly had a double-double with nine points and nine rebounds for the Knights. The Cougars got 17 points from Makayla Arendt, followed by 15 for Ali Hunstad.
Managing to hold Cannon Falls to two points in the first half as part of a 32-2 halftime lead, Goodhue cruised to a 51-19 Hiawatha Valley League victory Tuesday night in Goodhue. McKenzie Ryan paced the Wildcats with 14 points, followed by seven points and four rebounds from Sydney Lodermeier and six poince apiece from Megan Ryan, Maddy Miller and Lexie Lodermeier. Ten players scored points for Goodhue in the victory. Kara Loeschke had a team-high 10 points for Cannon Falls, followed by five points for Kalysa Banks.
Down 2-1 after two periods, Hastings scored three unanswered goals in the third period to take a non-conference win over Red Wing, 4-2, Tuesday in Hastings. The Raiders had a 1-0 lead after the first period after Peter Meyer scored an unassisted goal at the 14-minute, 3-second mark.
