Each officer at the Red Wing Police Department is trained to use naloxone in an opioid overdose situation. The police department has two doses of Narcan in each AED kit in their vehicle. The discussion, which featured a panel of local law enforcement, social services and judiciary members, focused on the city’s and Goodhue County's increasing drug issues predominantly with meth but emerging opioids.
