Boys Tennis: Wingers knock off Farmington
Red Wing got three sweeps, but Logan Johnson's three-set victory at No. 2 singles pushed the Wingers into the win column for the first time this season with a 4-3 win over Farmington on Monday.
Johnson dropped his first set, but came back to defeat Maxx Maata 6-7, 6-4, 10-4. At No. 3 singles, Coby Castner won 6-1, 6-1 to split the individual matches.
Red Wing's other two wins came in doubles play, with the top pairing of Ben Schafer and Konner Brickey winning 6-2, 6-2, and the No. 2 pair of Jack Nevitt and Lincoln Bryan stepping off the court 6-0, 6-4 winners.
Red Wing is scheduled to host Mankato East on Tuesday.
