National Eagle Center offers viewing field trips

 The National Eagle Center is offering opportunities to see wild bald and golden eagles on field trips led by expert birder and NEC Education Director Scott Mehus. Enjoy the comfort and convenience of a guided tour via coach bus with expert instruction along the way to prime viewing of bald and golden eagles.

All field trips begin at 1 p.m. at the National Eagle Center and depart after a brief classroom session, returning by 5 p.m. Participants are encouraged to dress for the weather and bring their own binoculars, spotting scopes or camera. Field trips conclude at the National Eagle Center with warm refreshments and a chance for further discussion.

Cost is $25 for NEC members, $35 for non-members, and includes transportation and admission to the National Eagle Center. Dates are:

• Bald eagles - Nov. 17, Jan. 12 and Feb. 23

• Golden eagles - Dec. 8, Jan. 26 and Feb. 9.
