Rajanen retires, Davis resigns
In a press release on Wednesday, Red Wing High School Athletic Director Bart Gray announced the retirement of boys' hockey co-head coach Bob Rajanen and the resignation of cheerleading head coach Jennifer Davis.
Rajanen coached the Wingers for four seasons, including in partnership with Anthony Boser the past two years.
“We want to thank Coach Rajanen for his dedicated service to Red Wing Winger Hockey and wish him well in his retirement,” Gray said in the press release.
Davis is leaving the state for California, and her resignation is effective immediately.
“Coach Davis has done a wonderful job in guiding our cheerleaders and this years’ (second-)place finish at the state cheer competition is evidence of her efforts and passion for the sport. We want to thank her for her contributions to the Winger sports programs,” Gray said.
Gray said searches for both positions will begin immediately.
