Boys Hockey: Austin gets late goal to edge Red Wing
Austin scored twice in the third period on Monday, including the eventual game-winner with 90 seconds to play, for a 2-1 victory over Red Wing.
Derek Gielau got the lone Wingers' goal at 12:18 of the second period. AJ Mueller got the Packers on the board at 2:49 of the third, tying the game 1-1. Dylan Svoboda broke the tie at 15:30 to give Austin the win.
Red Wing (5-16-2) out-shot the Packers, 40-28, but Ryan Flanders stopped 39 shots for Austin. Zach Harding made 26 saves in the loss. The Wingers wrap up the regular season with games at Hastings, on Tuesday, and at Northfield on Thursday.
