Area Volleyball Wrap: Lake City blanks Pine Island

Lake City hit the road on Thursday to face Pine Island, and the Tigers came home with a convincing 3-0 (25-13, 25-17, 25-15) victory.

Delaney Issendorf led the way for Lake City with 15 kills and four aces, while Elyse Dallager dished out 26 assists. Morgan West had 15 digs for the Tigers.

The Panthers got seven kills from Avri Kundert, and 10 assists from Sydney Andrist.

K-W 3, Lourdes 0

Ally Peterson's 14 kills led Kenyon-Wanamingo to a 3-0 (25-11, 25-16, 25-17) win over Rochester Lourdes on Thursday.

Corynne Dahl had five kills for the Knights, followed by Megan Mattson and Julianna Boyum who both had four. Sydney Way had 12 digs for K-W, with Dahl adding four blocks.

Cannon Falls 3, Triton 0

Cannon Falls ran into little trouble on the road on Thursday, downing Triton 3-0 (25-10, 25-16, 25-19) with ease.

Shayla Hustad had nine kills in the win, followed by Molly Bowen and Kara Loeschke, both of which had seven. Loeschke had 17 assists as well, and Rachel Huseth added 14.

Tatum Pickar once again led the defense with 14 digs, while Riley Meyers had six digs and two aces. Anja Black had five digs and three aces for the Bombers, with Sara Twedt contributing a pair of blocks.


K-W 3, Goodhue 0

Goodhue put up a fight, but Kenyon-Wanamingo continued its impressive season with a 3-0 (25-19, 25-23, 25-17) victory on Tuesday.

Ally Peterson had 22 kills in 44 attempts for the Knights, with Maddie McCauley throwing out 28 assists to lead the offense.

Sydney Way had 11 kills to pace the K-W defense, with McCauley adding 10 of her own.

The Wildcats got nine kills from Sydney Lodermeier, and 23 assists from Mariah Tipcke.
