Area Boys Soccer Briefs: Lake City remains unbeaten

The Lake City boys’ soccer team is yet to fall into the loss column, moving to 3-0 following a 3-2 victory against Dover-Eyota on Thursday.

Tied at 1-1 after the first half, Dover-Eyota took a 2-1 lead after Payton Schott scored his second goal of the game. But it would be the Tigers that scored the next two goals, with Charlie White tying the game on an assist from Wyatt Becker, followed by the game-winning goal from Jacob Sanders, who also had an assist in the victory. Luke Meincke scored a first-half goal and provided an assist on the game-winner.

In net, Satchell Ekblad came up with 20 saves for Lake City.

The Tigers will play their next three games on the road, starting with Byron on Tuesday.
