He worked hard during practice and encouraged his teammates to do the same. Brady's continuous clutch hitting and willingness to pitch in the big game provided us opportunities to win games."

Tyler DeFore (sr. OF, Red Wing)

From head coach Paul Hartmann: "Tyler is the fastest player I've ever coached. He changed games on the bases. He was given the green light all year and handled it extremely well. Two years ago, he converted to the outfield and became one of the best in the Big Nine."

Liam Franken (sr. 2B, Cannon Falls)

.419 average, .500 OBP, 10 doubles, 5 triples, 1 HR, 21 RBI, 20 R. All-HVL, honorable mention All-State.

From head coach Bucky Lindow: "Liam has done a tremendous job in the weight room; that is a big part of the big extra-base hit numbers. He is in the school record books for triples in a season (second) and in a career (tied for third)."

Matt Houglum (sr. P, Kenyon-Wanamingo)

62 IP, 4-3 record, 1.47 ERA, 73 Ks, 19 BB. All-HVL.

From head coach Randy Hockinson: "Matt is a steady perfectionist. A career record of 10-3 and a career ERA of 1.17 shows his dominance on the mound."

Gavin Roosen (sr. SS/P, Kenyon-Wanamingo)

.310 average, .462 OBP, 5 doubles, 14 RBI, 18 R, 16 SB; 49 IP, 7-3 record, 1.29 ERA, 79 Ks, 29 BB. Class 2A All-State.

From head coach Randy Hockinson: "Gavin is a very intense competitor who has been a driving force on varsity for four years. Seven career shutouts are phenomenal."

Hayden Strain (jr. OF, Cannon Falls)

.448 average, .570 OBP, 6 doubles, 1 triple, 1 HR, 13 RBI, 26 runs. All-HVL.

From head coach Bucky Lindow: "Hayden was an impact guy in our lead-off spot. If we need him to get on base, he did. If we needed to drive in a run, he did. He had an outstanding offensive season."

Teddy Tauer (jr. P/DH/1B, Red Wing), All-Area Player of the Year

66 1/3 IP, 6-2 record, 2 saves, 1.24 ERA, 71 Ks, 25 BB; .260 average, 4 doubles, 21 RBI, 6 runs; All-Big Nine Conference.

From head coach Paul Hartmann: "He was our ace as a sophomore and he was our ace again as a junior. Teddy's a model of consistency. He's never had a game where he got hit hard in three years."

Andrew Wenstrom (so. IF/P, Randolph)

.370 average, 4 doubles, 4 triples, 23 R, 23 RBI; 7-2 record, 1.81 ERA, 60 Ks. All-Southeast Conference, All-Section 1A.

From head coach Chris Stanton: "Andrew is a great athlete who is getting better every game he starts on the mound. He's turning into a very smart pitcher and I'm excited for the next couple of years."

Seth Yeatman (jr. 3B, Red Wing)

.343 average, .440 OBP, 7 doubles, 12 RBI, 17 R. All-Big Nine honorable mention.

From head coach Paul Hartmann: "Seth was a game changer both offensively and defensively. He made plays that very few high school third basemen can make. Offensively, he was one of our catalysts. He had some big at-bats for us this season. He has a baseball body and will play at the next level."
