Softball: Randolph rolls Houston, twice

Randolph needed 12 innings to sweep a doubleheader against Houston on Friday, taking the first game, 10-0, and the second, 13-3.

Morgyn Otte had 14 strikeouts and one walk, and allowed two hits in Game 1 to pick up the win. Skyler Turek and Andrea Splichal each went 3-for-4 for the second-ranked (Class 1A) Rockets, with each driving in two runs as well.

In Game 2, Lindsey Grant allowed three runs on five hits with four strikeouts, while Splichal and Mackenna Otte both had two RBI. Grant also had a good game at the plate, finishing 2-for-3 with two runs and an RBI.

Randolph (11-0) visits Waterville-Elysian-Morristown on Tuesday.
