Cannon Falls Bombers

2014-15 season:

4-22 overall (1-15 in the Hiawatha Valley League). Lost to Kenyon-Wanamingo in the first round of the Section 1AA-West playoffs.

First Game:

Dec. 1 vs. Minneapolis Henry

Ellsworth Panthers

2014-15 season:

1-20 overall (1-13 in the Middle Border Conference). Lost to St. Croix Central in the opening round of the WIAA Regional playoffs.

First Game:

Osceola 50, Ellsworth 28 (Tuesday).

Goodhue Wildcats

2014-15 season:

23-6 overall (13-3 in the Hiawatha Valley League). Lost to Lyle/Pacelli in the Section 1A-West finals.

Goodhue 65, River Falls 42 (Friday).

Sydney Lodermeier, so. (13.3 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 2 bpg); Taylor Larson, sr. (6.1 ppg, 3 rpg); Maddy Miller, jr. (4.6 ppg, 2 spg).

Shelby Hinsch.

From Head Coach Josh Wieme:

“(We have) experience, depth and quickness. Last year’s team had two juniors, four sophomores and two freshmen see lots of action on a team that won 23 games. That experience should turn to confidence this year.”

Lake City Tigers

2014-15 season:

14-12 overall (8-9 in the Hiawatha Valley League). Lost to Plainview-Elgin-Millville in the Section 1AA-East semifinals.

First Game:

Monday vs. Zumbrota-Mazeppa.

Madi Green, sr. (14 ppg, 8 rpg); Allison Kubista, so. (6.5 ppg); Julia Anderson, jr. (5 ppg, 3 apg); Laura Heitman, jr. (4 ppg, 4 rpg).

Breanna Gates, Bailey Cronin, Lily Johnson.

From Head Coach Drew Olinger:

“We have many girls that like to score the basketball and they are excited to get more shots than they did last season. With that being said, we lost a bulk of our scoring to graduation, so girls will need to learn how to be solid scorers. We will also be strong defensively but might struggle on rebounding on the offensive end of the floor.”

Zumbrota-Mazeppa Cougars

2014-15 season:

7-17 overall (4-12 in the Hiawatha Valley League). Lost to Hayfield in the first round of the Section 1AA-West playoffs.

First Game:

Friday at Dover-Eyota invitational.
