Girls Golf: Lake City cruises at home

To say Lake City had an easy go of it Friday would be an understatement. The Tigers shot a solid 324, but neither Byron nor Kasson-Mantorville were able to come within 150 strokes of the hosts. The Bears finished with a 479 while the KoMets came in with a 495.

Lexi Geolat and Erin Pennington shared medalist honors by shooting an even 80, with fellow Tigers Emily Schimbeno and Lidia Wallerich two shots back at 82.

“I don’t think anybody had anything more than a double bogey, and that’s a good, solid day of golf for us,” said Lake City head coach Steve Randgaard.

The Tigers will head to Zumbrota-Mazeppa on Tuesday for another HVL tri along with Triton.
