Track and Field: Ellsworth competes in Osceola

No matter the recent sunshine, eight teams took to the controlled weather of the Osceola Indoor Invite Thursday. Ellsworth took sixth in the boys contest with 50 points, while the girls placed seventh with 38.5 points.

Brett Freier starred for the Panther boys, winning the 55-meter hurdles in a time of 8.22 seconds while Evan Klawitter placed third in the 200 in a time of 24.96.

The girls 800 relay team took first place in 2:01.14.

New Richmond won the boys title with 134 points, five more than second-place Osceola.

Osceola flipped the script in the girls’ standings, beating New Richmond149-111.
