Boys Basketball: Wildcats end regular-season on a high note

Led by Riley Augustine, Goodhue saved its highest-scoring game for last in an 80-47 win over Section 1A opponent Lyle/Austin Pacelli Thursday in Goodhue.

Augustine finished with a team-high 22 points on 10 of 13 shooting, adding eight rebounds in the process. Three other Wildcats – Tyler Schumacher (13), Calvin Peterson (12) and Riley Bollum (11) – finished in double digits. As a team, Goodhue shot 32 of 52 (61 percent) from the floor.

Braden Kocer and Jordan Hart had 16 and 12 points, respectively, for Lyle/Austin Pacelli.

The Wildcats end the regular season at 16-10 overall. Section 1A play is set to begin on Feb. 18. Seedings have not been announced.
