Boys Basketball: Ellsworth falls to MBC rival Prescott

In a battle between two of the top teams in the Middle Border Conference, Prescott managed to hold off Ellsworth to secure a 56-48 victory Tuesday in Prescott, Wis.

Will Huppert put forth a solid effort in the loss with 23 points on 9 of 12 shooting to go with seven rebounds. Chrystian Kulow had nine points, six assists and three rebounds, and Emery Whalen had seven points in the loss.

Clay Seifert was 7 of 16 from the field and 5 of 9 from the free-throw line to finish with a team-high 21 points for Prescott. Mike Brookshaw followed with 15 points.

With its five-game win streak snapped, Ellsworth (11-6, 9-3 MBC) returns home Friday to take on Somerset.
